Chapter 13

In a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, you make payments to your creditors over a 3 to 5 year period pursuant to your Chapter 13 plan. The success of your case depends on confirming your Chapter 13 plan and maintaining your plan payments. Confirming and completing a Chapter 13 plan is difficult, but is also the only way (other than a Chapter 11 bankruptcy) to cure and reinstate a defaulted mortgage. In certain circumstances you can affect mortgages and vehicle loans, such that if you complete your Chapter 13 plan those loans are partially or fully satisfied. Attorney Scott Charmoy has the experience to help you draft a realistic payment plan that can help you overcome your debt. As with a Chapter 7, Attorney Scott M. Charmoy will typically discuss this option with you at the initial consultation.

Please contact Attorney Scott M. Charmoy at (203) 255-8100 to discuss your case.
